WHAT IS EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference. EMDR Practitioners are guided by EMDR International Association which supports EMDR therapy through training, certification, and resources for clinicians.
